Replace AHU's at Kennedy Headquarters Building

Project Scope: Replaced Air Handling Units serving NASA’s headquarters building at Kennedy Space Center. Work involved all related mechanical and electrical systems, as well as miscellaneous general construction trades to accommodate the new work. Air handling units were replaced on a phased schedule over weekends to allow the Headquarters’ operations to continue without interruption.
Phase 1A: This project consisted of phased demolition of existing Air Handling Unit (AHU) #16 in the KSC Headquarters Building, Room 3474. Demolition work included AHU, piping, ductwork, control, electrical power and lighting, asbestos abatement, and cutting of fixed exterior wall panel. Phased installation work included new AHU, piping, ductwork, controls, electrical power and lighting, architectural wall louvers, commissioning, and testing and balancing.
Phase 3: Replace existing Air Handling Units (AHUs), piping, duct, electrical and controls serving the occupied Headquarters Building M6-399 at the Kennedy Space Center. (1080, 1350, 1375)
