Project Scope: The project consisted of a two-story, 15,000 SF Weather Forecast Office with storage area and mechanical rooms on the second floor, an attached three-story upper air balloon launch tower, and a separate two story support building with a tracking antenna structure mounted above the building inside of a Radome. The site is two city blocks surrounded by security fence, with parking and extensive landscaping. This is a LEED certified project and is built to withstand a category 5 hurricane with175 MPH wind speeds.
